I need to know:

Who the book will be about, child or adult, and their age.

The kind of story they want, fiction (Fairy Tale, Sci-Fi, Action/Adventure, etc.) or a real occasion (Birthday, holiday, specific event, etc.).  The book can just be for entertainment, to teach or to chronicle family heritage.

Helpful info can include the subject's favorite items, shows, characters, phrases, beliefs, etc.  For example one subject loved the Berenstein Bears.  Even though they weren't part of the story, I put bears on his pajamas.  Also - I included his artwork - a picture he painted of fish and a turtle - and integrated it into the book's illustration.

Photos showing any characters you would like included in the book are helpful. The more information provided, the more personal the story can become.
